Remember to bring your ID to get a visitor's pass, and then enjoy a sweet start to the day with your students! Students will head to class at 7:40, and parents are invited to a brief meeting. We will share school test scores and plans to raise our achievement level and growth for ALL students this school year. There will also be important information about new rules for 3rd grade retention in the LEARNS Act. You can meet your teacher, see your friends, and get information on bus transportation. We will also have reps from Scouts and RPI, our school based mental health provider. DELAYED START ❄ As we continue to monitor weather conditions, predictions indicate a high chance of early Tuesday morning temperatures below freezing, which increases the chances of icy roads and bridges. The safety of our students, teachers, and staff is always the first priority, so PCSSD will have a delayed start on Tuesday, December 2, for schools and district offices. Buses will run two hours later than their normal scheduled time. Tardies will not be counted for the day.

This week, we’re spotlighting Mrs. Stephanie DeWitt’s kindergarten class at William Jefferson Clinton Elementary. Students recently completed an AVID jigsaw activity on story elements. Each group became “experts” on characters, setting, beginning, middle, or end, and then taught their classmates what they learned.

“It’s been wonderful watching them collaborate, think critically, and deepen their understanding of how stories work! Way to go, scholars,” Mrs. DeWitt shared.
