There was an internet outage in the central AR area today impacting our schools. Our internet partners, Ritter Communications, informed us that a fiber cable was cut downtown causing the outage. Most schools have restored connection. We aim to be fully restored for Monday school.

Arkansas Peace Week is coming up September 18-25! They are holding a youth art contest for 1st-12th graders. Prizes will be award for 1st-3rd place. Deadline to enter is September 6.

Maumelle High baseball players spent the last two days helping Crystal Hill, Pine Forest, and Oak Grove elementary schools prepare for the school year. These guys did a great job pitching in and helping at each school. Maumelle is a community working together!

All PCSSD health and PE teachers are gathered for a full day of professional development. They'll be learning new, fun activities for the school year for elementary and secondary schools. Additionally, all PE/Health teachers will get certified in CPR/AED and first aid during the training session today.
