June is Great Outdoors Month. One popular Central Arkansas outdoor destination is the Big Dam Bridge. This bridge is the longest pedestrian bridge in North America built for that use. It connects more than 14 miles of scenic trails in Little Rock and North Little Rock.

Today is Flag Day which marks the adoption of the U.S. flag in 1777. The resolution, passed by the 2nd Continental Congress resolved that the flag include 13 stripes, alternating red & white & 13 white stars in a blue field. Stars have been added as states join the union.

A dozen PCSSD schools have qualified for the Community Eligibility Provision program during the 2022-2023 school year. The program provides meals, regardless of eligibility category, at no charge for all students.

Maumelle Middle School would like to invite all incoming 6th graders for the 2022-2023 school year to attend Transition Camp July 25-29. Transition Camp is a great experience to learn about the middle school environment, meet classmates, and plan for future academic success.
