On June 6th, 1944, Allied forces launched the largest seaborne invasion in military history. Known as D-Day, the operation, centered on Normandy beach, started the liberation of Europe that would eventually end WWII 11 months later. #pcssdproud #serveall

Last Day of School for Teachers
From the bottom of this first year Principal's heart, THANK YOU to my friends and former colleagues for pouring into my teachers and students (and me) this year. We felt the love and encouragement all throughout the year. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone: The Ladies of Delta Kappa Gamma, Amanda Galbraith and Arkansas Property Management, Judy Vincent, Diane Rhodes and Shirley Scott, Sherri Coonts, Sandi Schuchardt, Julie James, Taylor Columbus, Beth Davis, Tera White, Barbara Vee, Nancy Willis, and Ragenea Dukes. I hope I didn't miss anyone. I'll be recruiting for next year shortly, but first---some rest!

Last Day Reminder
Thank you to Dr. Farr, Principal at Maumelle High School for spending time with our hornets to read a book and discuss how to prevent being a sour grape! He did very well on the test of, "do you know...."? as our Oak Grove Hornets were proud to talk about their big siblings at Maumelle High School. Thanks, Dr. Farr !

Better Speech and Hearing Month is the perfect chance to fine tune how you protect your and your family’s hearing. Good rule of thumb: Keep headphone volume below 60% and use noise cancelling earphones instead of turning the volume up. #pcssdproud #serveall
